For the Forest collection in Save an Egg, your Secret target is Bear Guardian. Give that long-term goal a name before setting off, then keep the rescue-and-hatch loop moving. Chase an egg carrier, slide to release the egg, collect it, finish the ring action and bring it back to the plot.

Make progress while pursuing the rare goal

Use the missing entries in your Forest Index as a practical second aim. The set contains Leaf Dog, Leaf Rabbit, Leaf Fox, Boar, Golden Stag, Griffin and Bear Guardian. A hatch that adds a missing entry advances the complete collection even when it is not the final Secret you wanted.

The Forest reward becomes claimable when all seven entries are discovered in the official preview, followed by Root Stompers being equipped. That makes collection completion a worthwhile companion goal. It also prevents the session from becoming an all-or-nothing hunt where every other pet feels useless.

Training speed is relevant when a faster carrier stops you from completing the chases you want to attempt. Golden-ring practice is relevant when you reach the carrier but struggle with the flip. Choose the improvement that fits your actual rescue problem. Neither is presented here as a guaranteed Secret-pet shortcut or a fixed hatch-odds boost.
