Save an Egg Plot Guide: Eggs, Pets and Income

Last updated 2026-11-01Unofficial player article

What your plot is for

  • Home destination: Return rescued eggs to the plot instead of ending the trip at the carrier hit.
  • Pet space: Place eggs for hatching and build the pet collection that earns money.

Your plot gives each rescue a destination

The plot in Save an Egg connects the moving chase to your pet collection. You rescue an egg away from home, then bring it back and place it on the plot. The egg hatches into a pet. That home destination is what gives the chase a finished result.

In the return sequence, the game calls the home destination the Safe Zone. Use that as the end of your egg-carrying trip. A fresh carrier or a rival Credits contest can wait until the egg you already collected is home. This is a practical first-session priority, rather than a claim that you must play every session in a fixed order.

Plan around the pets you actually have

Pets earn money on the plot. For an income decision, start with your own displayed pet earnings and decide what you want another hatch to add. The game advertises random sizes from Normal to Colossal, so the pet name and its rarity label are only part of what you are looking at.

For a collection decision, open the Forest Index goal. Its seven named entries include the Common Leaf Dog, Rare Leaf Fox, Legend Golden Stag and Secret Bear Guardian. Completing the set leads to the Forest reward and Root Stompers boots in the official preview. The Forest pet list is the useful reference when a missing name is your next goal.

Keep those questions separate while using the plot. An income favorite can be useful without filling a new Index entry. A newly discovered pet can advance collection even when you are not replacing an income favorite. That distinction helps you choose the next rescue for a reason, rather than assuming every new hatch has to outperform every pet you own.

The hatching guide covers the egg-to-pet step, and the money guide focuses on earnings decisions. Use the plot as the place to finish one goal and choose the next one.
