Save an Egg Slide Controls for PC and Phone
Slide and flip controls
- PC: Hold Click to slide, steer with WASD and press Space to flip.
- Phone: Hold SLIDE, steer with the stick and use the FLIP button.
Use the controls for the action you are trying to make
Save an Egg uses sliding for several interactions, while the golden-ring flip has a separate input. On PC, the official preview labels sliding as Hold Click and steering as WASD. On a phone it labels the controls Hold SLIDE and Stick. Space is the PC flip input; the phone has a FLIP button.
| Action | PC | Phone |
|---|---|---|
| Slide | Hold Click | Hold SLIDE |
| Steer | WASD | Stick |
| Flip | Space | FLIP button |
Use the steering input to guide the moving slide into your intended target. Pressing the flip input is for the ring timing action, rather than a replacement for reaching the carrier. If you are learning on a phone, give the SLIDE and FLIP buttons separate jobs instead of tapping both whenever a chase gets close.
The target changes what a slide does
Sliding into an egg stealer knocks its egg loose. Sliding over a dropped egg scoops it up. Sliding into another player can take credits. These are different goals using the same movement action, so aim at the right object before deciding that the slide failed.
If you cannot reach a faster stealer, training speed addresses that pursuit. If you can reach the target but are still pressing the wrong action at the ring, more speed does not teach the flip control. Use the Perfect Rescue timing guide for that step.
Once an egg is rescued, return it to the plot instead of continuing to test the controls on other targets. The carrier-catching guide turns these inputs into a complete approach, while the Credits guide explains the separate rival-player interaction.
Open the official Save an Egg experience to follow these steps in the game.
