Save an Egg Beginner Guide: Your First Rescue
Your first successful rescue
- Find a carrier: Look for a stealer holding an egg, then slide into it.
- Finish the trip: Collect the dropped egg, flip at the golden ring and take the egg to your plot.
Start with one egg and finish the whole trip
Your first goal in Save an Egg is a hatched pet at home. A hit on a goblin is only the start. Follow the released egg, scoop it up and bring it back before choosing another chase. Keeping that small goal makes the opening session easier to follow than running after every carrier you see.
The PC slide instruction is Hold Click, with WASD for steering. On a phone, hold SLIDE and steer with the stick. Aim your movement into the egg carrier, then slide over the dropped egg. When the golden-ring cue appears, use Space on PC or the FLIP button on a phone. Finish by carrying the rescued egg to the Safe Zone and placing it on your plot.
Turn the first hatch into a useful next goal
Pets hatch from rescued eggs and earn money. Once your first pet is home, choose the problem that actually slowed you down. If the carrier kept moving out of reach, speed training is the relevant progression system. If you reached it but missed the ring, practice the flip cue instead of assuming more speed will fix the timing.
Keep early sessions focused. Bring one egg home, hatch it, then decide whether you want another rescue, a better collection entry or more speed. Other players can slide into you and take credits, so chasing a rival is a separate competitive choice. It does not need to become part of every trip home.
For the next rescue, use the egg-stealer catching guide to separate reaching the carrier from landing the hit. Once that feels comfortable, the Perfect Rescue guide explains the ring and its controls. You will have a clearer reason for each action instead of trying to learn all of them at once.
