Save an Egg Tips and Tricks: Rescues, Pets and Speed
Spend your session on the right problem
- Finish before switching: Take a collected egg home before starting another goal.
- Match the fix: Train for a faster carrier; practice the gold-ring flip when timing is the obstacle.
Choose the next action from the chase you just had
The most useful Save an Egg tip is to separate a speed problem from a control problem. When a carrier stays ahead of you, speed training addresses the pursuit. When you catch up but miss the interaction, focus on steering the slide into the carrier. When the egg is free but the rescue feels unfinished, remember that pickup and the trip home still matter.
On PC, holding Click starts the slide and WASD steers it. On a phone, use SLIDE with the stick. The golden-ring flip uses a different input: Space or the phone FLIP button. Learning those two actions separately gives you something concrete to improve on the next attempt.
Keep collection and income decisions separate
Pets earn money after hatching, but your next collection target need not be a simple bigger-number choice. The Forest Index has seven entries and a completion reward. If you want collection progress, a missing entry is a sensible goal. If you want plot income, compare the pets you actually have rather than assuming every pet of a higher rarity pays more under every condition.
The official preview advertises random sizes from Normal through Colossal. That is a good reason to compare displayed earnings on your own plot instead of copying a promotional number into a universal value rule. A large-looking pet, a rarity label and a cash-per-second label answer different questions.
Finally, choose when to compete. A rival credit chase can pull you away from an egg return or the biome you meant to explore. Finish the small task you started, then choose whether the next trip is for a pet, speed or rival credits. Use the speed guide when faster carriers are blocking you, and the pet collection list when you want a clear Index target.
